Starking Apple
Originally from U. S. A. (Iowa), this fruit has an elongated, cylindrical-conical format, with 5 lobes along the apical cavity), and has an average and leaning peduncle, its surface being striated red color, partially or almost fully.
The flesh is thin, creamy white, juicy, consistent, sweet, aromatic, slightly acidic, very pleasant, scented with high quality, and fruit ready to harvest must have a hardness of pulp from 7.0 to 7.5 kg / 0.5 cm2, and the refractive index should be submitted more than 12% (Brix).
The average size is: 70 to 80 mm which corresponds to the weight of 190-210 grams.
The harvest season of this variety is between early to mid-September, approximately 8 days before Golden, and preservation in good condition is about 5 months in standard atmosphere (normal) and 7 months in controlled atmosphere.
